Patient floors 3, 4, 5 & 6 have rooftop courtyards with cityscape views towards the River Mersey. Floor 7 also has a rooftop courtyard for staff.

All inpatient beds will move from Wirral to the new Liverpool hospital. The new inpatient rooms are single accommodation allowing privacy for patients and their families. The majority of the rooms have floor to ceiling windows allowing natural light to flow through.

The radiotherapy department is underground for radiation safety but has access to a winter garden offering patients an outdoor space. An internal atrium helps flood this basement department with natural light.

The main atrium reception area will be a multi-use space for patient information and support including a complimentary therapy room.
